Dr. Amanda Cassil (PSY26549) is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist in Pasadena, California. Dr. Cassil’s primary focus is working with women and underrepresented groups in STEM fields (science, technology, engineering, and math) regarding topics such as: navigating conflicting expectations, impostor syndrome, and work-life balance. She has experience treating anxiety, depression, and adult survivors of childhood abuse. She additionally works with Highly Sensitive People as defined by Dr. Elaine Aron. Dr. Cassil values diversity and the multiple roles that individuals must navigate in their academic, social, and family settings, and she invites her clients to explore these dimensions within therapy.
Dr. Cassil received her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from Fuller Graduate School in Pasadena. Dr. Cassil has worked in college counseling centers (including UC Riverside, Cal State Fullerton, Caltech, and Cal Poly Pomona) as a practicum trainee, intern, postdoctoral resident, and staff psychologist.
